In this video it shows the steps to import an image as an asset in your Android Studio environment of your App. Further it shows how one can use the imported image as the display icon of the App. It modifies both – round icon and normal icon – options in the manifest.xml file to ensure that the icon changes for all the devices/ phones (which has round icon display and normal square icon display).
