In this video it shows how to create a splash screen (welcome screen) at the start of your Android App. This splash screen is displayed while your App takes time to load on the mobile.
The splash screen can be used to display company’s (App’s) logo or certain information which the App developer want to show at the start.
To display the splash screen, it uses a simple JPG file which was created prior and used for this demo. The JPG file was kept in drawable folder of the App and then used respectively from the Styles file. Respective Theme is created in the Styles file for this splash screen image. Once the style was created it was used in the Manifest file and .java file as the starting theme for the App.
